Happy Women’s Day

Belated Happy Women’s Day to all the incredible women out there! This day, which falls on March 8th every year, is a time to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all over the world. I was not able to post on Wednesday due to work commitments. We had an event that surely opened up a whole lot of exposure to understanding how the 4IR works. I do not regret attending it.

Happy Women’s Day

Women have come a long way in terms of progress and gender equality, but there is still much work to be done. I can think about all the sacrifices they make. The fight for women’s rights is still ongoing, especially in South Africa, and we must continue to push for change and advocate for women’s issues.

One of the most significant challenges that women face today is the gender pay gap. It’s sad to see how much work we put in, but the results are not showing. Even though women are just as qualified and skilled as men, they often earn less for doing the same job. This is unacceptable, and we must continue to raise awareness and demand gender equality. However, there has been a massive change as of late. We see a lot of inclusions as opposed to the past. Women have started to occupy positions of power, and it’s beautiful to watch.

Another issue that affects women worldwide is gender-based violence. In my country, there is a high percentage of GBV and genocide. and it’s sad to see our sisters, mothers, aunts, and friends dying at the hands of people who claimed to love and protect them. Women are more likely to be victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and harassment. Although it will take a lifetime to fix the mental problems of most men, we need to ensure that women feel safe and secure in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Despite these challenges, women continue to make incredible strides in all areas of life. Women are entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, politicians, artists, and leaders in every field. We owe a debt of gratitude to the women who have come before us, paving the way for our success and inspiring us to push even further.

On this belated Women’s Day, let’s take a moment to appreciate all the amazing women in our lives. Whether it’s our mothers, sisters, friends, or colleagues, we are surrounded by women who inspire us, support us, and challenge us to be our best selves.

Let’s also remember the women who are still fighting for their rights and for their voices to be heard. We need to stand in solidarity with them and continue to work towards a world where women are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

In conclusion, Happy Belated Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there. Let’s continue to push for progress and work towards a better future for ourselves and the generations to come. Asante!
