I sit here wondering how I managed to write posts for four consecutive days. Participating on the WINTERABC2021 challenge afforded me an opportunity to discover skills which I never knew existed. We are four days into the challenge and fatigue is already kicking in but I am willing to see how far I can stretch my creative juices. For the past week, creatives turned their imaginations into reality. I learnt that creativity is contagious, the more time you spend writing and working on your ideas, the more you perfect your craft.
Below I quoted some of female bloggers who participated on the challenge. My motto in life is to inspire women to be the best version of themselves and to maximize their potentials. Malala Yousafzai said, “We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back. We call upon our sisters around the world to be brave – to embrace the strength within themselves and realize their full potential.” If we all move forward, success in the creative space takes care of itself.
Creativity isn’t an event to attend; or an haute fashion outfit to ‘try on’, it’s a personal thing.
One thing I love about freewriting is that it helps you generate new ideas without distracting thoughts.
As a creative I need to keep in constant check of my body, mind and soul to ensure that I am in the right position to be able to write better, design better, think better images or even communicate in a better way.
If you asked me before 2020 if I knew anything about blogging I would tell you I only ever heard it used in a sentence telling me to start blogging but I had zero idea whatsoever.
The creative’s journey is not always a happy story, you could get disowned, misunderstood and talked down on until you get paid. It’s always about the money
Overcoming the fear of not being creative enough requires you to look within yourself. Identify what you’re good at and go up from there.
What the Covid 19 pandemic taught us all is that like all hustles, there are good and bad days and in our case, a whole year but at dawn we rise again and do it all over because that is our life line.
As a creative, its important to know the type of content you want to put out there so that you don’t get caught up in the hype of posting content that you haven’t prepared or something that jeopardizes the theme of your blog
I thank God for all the vloggers that kept churning content and the songwriters that kept us putting songs on repeat because without them I would have tapped into crazyville
When I am piled up in the drafts- waiting for the day I too get to travel to the published world
Never allow negative criticism to bring you down. It might seem like everything is falling apart but remember you deserve to be happy
Being a creative in Zimbabwe (Africa at large) means you have to deal with friends and family who want to use your services for free, people who would rather pay you with exposure or capitalists who will give you 10% of an elephant.
Unfortunately I could not quote every woman on my blog who participated on the challenge. But to every woman reading this blog, I dare you to be powerful, the strength lies within you. JK Rowling once said, “We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already.” Creative space awaits for powerful and brave women as you.
Do not forget to follow and visit these phenomenal women’s blogs. You would not regret, I promise you.
